Peter is an effective leader of operational teams, systems and processes at Speeds Healthcare, a leading provider of medicines management solutions to the UK independent healthcare sector, with over 35 years of experience.
Peter is a highly skilled clinical pharmacist with extensive experience in various areas of the healthcare industry. After graduating from the university in Leicester, he completed his pre-registration training within the hospital sector, where he gained invaluable knowledge and skills. He then continued his career at Wrexham Maelor Hospital, where he developed as a clinical pharmacist, achieving his Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy. Peter’s experience includes working in a range of disciplines, including acute mental health, and maintaining his experience in primary care through community locum positions.
In addition to his clinical work, Peter has a passion for implementing IT systems within pharmacy. He has worked tirelessly to improve documentation systems and processes, including at the point of administration, and has played a pivotal role in developing the All-Wales Intervention Database. His dedication to this field led him to a position at a large teaching hospital.
In 2010, Peter joined Speeds in an operational management role and quickly rose through the ranks, becoming a director in 2012. As Business Development Director, he has been instrumental in innovating the Speeds service offering and is responsible for all client relationships, sales, and onboarding of new clients. With his APM recognition in project management, he oversees most projects at Speeds.
